Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is reportedly eager to remain at Stamford Bridge, despite late interest from Everton.
Following the appointment of Sean Dyche as manager on Monday, the Toffees have regarded the 22-year-old to be a statement signing.
Dyche has taken over at Everton, who are currently 19th in the Premier League and face relegation.
Everton are expected to be active in the final few hours of the deadline, having recouped around £40m from the sale of Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United.
According to a recent report, Liverpool have made a £45m bid for Gallagher this month, with Chelsea willing to accept the offer if they are successful in their pursuit of big-money target Enzo Fernandez.
According to BBC Sport, Gallagher is not interested in joining Everton at the moment, but will consider his options if Graham Potter’s side informs him that he is surplus to requirements.
Gallagher is in his first season as a member of Chelsea’s senior squad, having spent the previous three seasons on loan at Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, and Crystal Palace.

However, the England international has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Potter’s lineup, starting only 11 of his 25 appearances for the West Londoners across all tournaments.
Everton are not the only Premier League club interested in signing Gallagher, with Crystal Palace among a number of potential suitors.
Gallagher had a successful loan spell with the Eagles last season, scoring eight goals and assisting five times in 39 games for Patrick Vieira’s side, and he was named the club’s 2021-22 Player of the Year.
