Chelsea Owner Todd Boehly Attends Hollywood’s Golden Globes

Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea, has turned to Hollywood, as he walks the red carpet for the 2023 Golden Globes.

The 49-year-old American, who also owns the Los Angeles Dodgers, is typically spotted cheering on his teams from the stands. However, on Tuesday, he was spotted mingling with some of the greatest names in Hollywood.

It comes after Boehly resigned from his position as Chelsea’s temporary sporting director, where he oversaw their £270m summer splurge.

Boehly had a busy 2022 after completing a £4.25bn takeover of Chelsea from Roman Abramovich in May.

Months later he also became the owner of the Golden Globes, after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association voted to transfer ownership of the award show to his company, Eldridge Industries.

The move was done to save the Golden Globes, with Eldridge creating a new for-profit private company to acquire the rights for all of the Golden Globes’ intellectual property.

Boehly though has one less job to do though after stepping down as Chelsea’s interim sporting director.

The Blues co-owner gave himself the position after the exits of Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech last summer, and he has since led transfer negotiations at the west London club.
