A groundshare with West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium is one option being explored by Chelsea for the Stamford Bridge redevelopment.
The Blues are hopeful their new stadium will be ready in time to be opened in 2020, meaning they must find a new ground to stage their home games until then and talks have taken place with a number of officials in a bid to find an agreement.
The west London outfit have reportedly already agreed a £20m-a-year deal to play at Wembley for three years, while a switch to Twickenham is also understood to be under consideration.
However, a third option has now been thrown into the mix, as according to BBC Sport the Olympic Stadium has emerged as a potential temporary home for the 2014-15 Premier League champions.
Much will depend on whether West Ham are happy with the proposal, but there is an agreement in the tenancy for such an arrangement to take place.
The Hammers will move into their new 60,000-seater home this summer after bidding farewell to the Boleyn Ground after 112 years there.
They signed off with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Manchester United as Winston Reid netted the last ever goal at the ground.
That result boosted the club’s chances of a top five finish in the Premier League and the possibility of qualifying for the Europa League next season remains a realistic target going into the final round of fixtures this Sunday.
