Chelsea Regret May Push Sarri To Everton

Maurizio Sarri expressed sorrow for leaving Chelsea after only one season in May, and Everton may now offer him a chance to return to the Premier League, according to Roma owner Dan Friedkin.

On Tuesday, Corriere dello Sport reported that new Everton owner and Roma president Dan Friedkin is considering employing Italian tactician Sarri as the club’s new head coach.

Sarri has been without a club since March, when he resigned as Lazio coach, but he recently stated that he is willing to return to the dugout if he receives an offer that gives him “adrenaline.”

Chelsea regret may push Sarri to Everton.

Sarri, the 2020 Juventus Scudetto champion, may appear to be a bold candidate for Everton, which is now at the bottom of the Premier League table, level on points with Wolves and Southampton.

However, Sarri has expressed sorrow for leaving Chelsea and England after only one season, so Friedkin may persuade the Italian with an ambitious idea.

Sarri won the Europa League with Chelsea in his only season at Stamford Bridge, 2018-19, before returning to Serie A to coach Juventus.

The Tuscan won the Serie A title in 2019-20, but was fired in the summer after a Champions League exit due to a strained relationship with certain players and club members.
