Chelsea reject £75m bid for Oscar from China

Chelsea are believed to have turned down an enormous £75 million bid for
Oscar from Jiangsu Suning.

The Chinese Super League have recently been making waves in the transfer
market – especially in Europe – as the likes of Fredy Guarin, Jackson
Martinez, Ramires and Alex Teixeira have all made big-money moves to China.

The Blues sold Ramires to Jiangsu Suning for £25m and the Telegraph believe
they were also offered £75m for Oscar.

The newspapers claims that Ramires, who is said to be good friends with Oscar
having played for both Chelsea and Brazil together is being paid £10m-a-year
net of tax by the Chinese club.

Oscar, 24, is undoubtedly very talented, but the transfer fee does seem
incredibly inflated, even if Jiangsu Suning have that kind of financial
power.

Despite that, they certainly are aiming to make waves in the footballing
world having broken their transfer record three times in the past couple of
weeks.

Ramires was the first to break it, but Martinez’s £31m move blew that out of
the water and now Teixeira’s completed a £38m transfer from Shakhtar – which
has yet again set a new record.

Certainly, if Oscar’s move had gone through then that would have taken some
beating, but it just proves that an unknown club like Jiangsu Suning has that
type of money so there may be a few more bids like that incoming this summer.
