Chelsea Set To Sign £51m Pedro Neto From Wolves

Pedro Neto will be joining Chelsea after a deal was completed with Wolves, reports Football London

This summer, the Blues hope to bolster their team with another winger and they have identified Neto as a top transfer target.

In just 24 games during the previous season, 24-year-old Neto notched three goals and eleven assists.

Nevertheless, hamstring issues forced the Portugal international to miss eighteen games.

The Blues are now anticipated to finalize a deal for Neto after reaching an agreement with Wolves for a sum of £51.4 million plus £2.6 million in add-ons.

Neto is scheduled to go through medical “soon” before finalizing a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Neto is anticipated to join them as their tenth summer addition following the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu, and Estevao Willian, who will not sign with the Blues until 2025.

The Blues have also managed to secure £86 million through departures after the exits of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson this summer.

Without a doubt, Neto is a fantastic talent for Chelsea but there are questions about his injury history.

Neto had missed an astounding 102 games throughout the previous four years.

Neto has spent more time off the field than on it despite making 91 appearances throughout that time.

Chelsea has a world-class operator at their disposal if they can keep Neto healthy and productive.

He strengthens their array of alternatives which also includes Cole Palmer, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling.

Neto is a right winger by trade, although he can also play down the center or off the left.
