Thiago Silva’s wife has put to bed, rumours surrounding the future of her husband at Chelsea Football Club.
The 38-year-old central defender joined the club in 2020 on a free transfer. And despite his advanced age, he has made 115 appearances for the team.
In the 2020–21 season, the Blues won the UEFA Champions League thanks in large part to the contributions of Silva, who has frequently captained the team in the absence of Cesar Azpilicueta.
Additionally, despite Saturday’s depressing 2-2 tie with Nottingham Forest. He has been one of the few first team stars to receive any recognition throughout Chelsea’s wretched season, which has left the west London based club wallowing in 11th position.
Silva posted a cryptic message to fans on Instagram after the game, casting doubt on his future despite having just signed a new one-year contract in February.

Thiago’s wife, Belle Silva, released a video on social media in which she insisted that Silva will complete the remaining year of his contract with the team. Belle Silva hasn’t been shy about sharing her anger and opinions about Chelsea’s miserable season.

She said: ‘I wanted to thank everyone. Every person who came to me for a hug, for a song outside the stadium. Thanks so much.
‘We, my family, my husband, children and me are very happy here in London, in Chelsea.
‘So my family and I are blue and we are Chelsea and we are staying. Go Blues.’
This season, the Brazilian has featured 33 times for the club in all competitions.
