Brighton and Hove Albion winger, Kaoru Mitoma has reportedly been tipped to joined Chelsea after they submitted an offer to lure the Japanese to Stamford Bridge.
Since Roman Abramovich sold the club, Stamford Bridge has seen a constant turnover of players as the Blues strive to regain their status as a team that can contend for the Premier League title.
In addition to being eliminated from both domestic cup competitions, Enzo Maresca’s side are now sixth in the Premier League standings and one point outside of the Champions League spots.
Once the summer transfer window opens, it is believed that the Blues will also try to increase their offensive alternatives.

According to Football Insider, the Blues are interested in signing Mitoma and have submitted an offer to Brighton.
Since joining Brighton in 2021, the 27-year-old has been playing in the Premier League. He has shown that he can produce at this level and has adjusted to English football.
The Japan international has proven he can cause difficulties for opponents in the top division, so it would make the move a little less risky for Chelsea.
If offers do come in for Mitoma this summer, the Seagulls will be in a strong negotiating position because his contract at Amex Stadium doesn’t expire until 2028.
