Chelsea is reportedly the top team in line to sign Kobbie Mainoo if he decides to leave Man United. The club and his representatives have been unable to come to an agreement on new terms for the 19-year-old, who has two and a half years left on his Old Trafford deal.

Mainoo last signed a long-term deal in February 2023, one month after making his Carabao Cup debut against Charlton.
Since making his Premier League debut at Everton in November of that year, he has established himself as one of United’s key players.
He played in United’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday and earned his 50th first-team appearance against Wolves last month.
However, with Premier League teams, notably Chelsea, setting up a possible transfer for the teenager, there is considerable doubt over Mainoo’s long-term future at United, reports Manchester Evening News.
If Mainoo decides to leave United, Chelsea is in a strong position to sign him since they want to sign him. Over the past several years, the Blues have added players like Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, and Moises Caicedo, and they are eager to add Mainoo to their already strong roster.
In order to retain Mainoo at the club, United is reportedly hoping to come to an agreement with him.
