Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has suffered an injury while away on international dut. He now looks set to miss a friendly date with Saudi Arabia.
The 24-year-old, who is captain of his country, had been expected to play for the USMNT as he seeks to accumulate crucial playing time.
He has found competitive minutes scarce at club level this season, with Chelsea preferring other options. He had played only 155 minutes of Premier League football this season, with just one start for Chelsea.
Unfortunately, Pulisic will be out when Gregg Berhalter’s side takes the field in the Kirin Challenge Cup on Friday.
The USMNT revealed Gregg Berhalter’s latest lineup without Pulisic, stating that he had sustained a knock during training earlier this week.

He will be evaluated on a daily basis to see if he can participate in Tuesday’s friendly match. The match between the USA and Saudi Arabia in Murcia will be their final match before announcing the team for the World Cup in Qatar.
The USMNT are in Group B alongside England, Wales, and Iran for the FIFA World Cup in November.
Pulisic will hope the injury is not too significant and he can be back for the Saudi Arabia game.
