As Christian Pulisic enters the final 12 months of his contract, his future at Chelsea is still up in the air.
Since joining the team in 2019, the USMNT star has struggled to make an impact after leaving Borussia Dortmund. Throughout his four years in England, Pulisic has consistently been a member of Chelsea’s matchday squad, but he has fallen short of the high hopes that were placed in him.
With Frank Lampard becoming the 24-year-old’s sixth manager at the club, the instability in the Stamford Bridge home dugout has contributed to some of Pulisic’s difficulties.
However, the appointment of Chelsea’s new manager may be what launches his Chelsea career.
Following weeks of negotiations with Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, the co-sporting directors of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly getting closer to a move back to the Premier League.
Although an appointment is not quite finished, it’s possible that preparations are being made for the Blues’ business during the transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino has told #Chelsea he wants to keep some of the players who haven’t played much under previous managers — most of all Christian Pulisic.

The 2022–23 season for Chelsea has six games left, and despite the general atmosphere at the club being one of desire for it to be finished, Pulisic is presented with the opportunity to prove his worth to Pochettino.
The Argentine has a tremendous track record of working with attacking players and could be the perfect appointment for the winger.
On June 30, Pulisic will enter the final year of his contract.
