The wife of an international football player has accused him of domestic abuse and cheating with Peruvian pop singer Pamela Franco, leading to his dismissal from his club.

Pamela Lopez Solorzano, the spouse of Christian Cueva, stated on a television program that she “suffered for many years” and “feared for her life” due to the 32-year-old Peruvian player’s “strangling” and “suffocating” actions.

The former Laliga midfielder has apologized for “what did not happen” but denies ever being an “abuser.”

According to the Daily Mail, he acknowledged that his actions have been “inexcusable” and that he has a “complex personality.” He pleaded to be let to play with Club Cienciano going forward.
