Wolves captain Conor Coady has urged his teammates to keep their foot on the gas as they look to build on a solid platform. The West Midlands outfit climbed up to eighth prior to the international break after earning a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at Molineux.
That victory extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches, winning three and drawing four, and have silenced some of their early-season critics.
After failing to win any of their opening six games, Nuno Espirito Santo came under fire from some sections of the Wolves faithful, despite his heroics over the past few seasons.
Europa League football seemed to have a detrimental impact on Premier League performances in the opening weeks, however, Wolves seem to have settled down of late.
They are going well in Europe and could book their spot in the knockout phase after the conclusion of their fifth game against Braga on November 28.
A trip to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth is next on the agenda for Wolves after the international break and Coady wants their run to continue.
The 26-year-old is one of a number of players not involved in international duty and wants to use the current break to work on improving. “We go again, but that is what we want. We want as many games as possible,” Coady told the Express & Star. “It is important that we use this week to improve and get better. We are enjoying what we are doing, enjoying the way we are playing. These are the games you want to play in.”
Wolves have failed to win on their last two visits to Bournemouth, drawing last season, but their recent form offers reason for optimism in the Wolves camp.
The Cherries have only won once in their last seven games across all competitions and could be there for the taking.
