Cockerill wants more from Edinburgh

Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill has demanded more from his side despite their 20-7 victory over the Dragons on Friday night. Blair Kinghorn and Duhan van der Merwe both went over for tries as Edinburgh secured what ended up being a comfortable victory in the Pro14 over the Welsh outfit. Despite climbing up to second place in Conference B, Cockerill felt his side were off the pace and feels there has to be much more to come from his players if they are to be successful this season. “We’ve got to make sure when we get opportunities, we take them,” Cockerill told BBC Scotland. “We made some errors, we were a little bit unlucky at times. We were just 10% off across the board. “We’ve got to make sure we don’t get too downbeat because it’s still a good win for us but we certainly can play better.” Edinburgh can now look forward to European Challenge Cup action when they make the trip across the Channel to Agen on Friday.
