Antonio Conte believes that the Premier League is the toughest title to win in Europe.
Chelsea are one of five teams within a point of each other at the top of the table going into this weekend’s matches.
Conte won Serie A three times in a row as Juventus coach between 2011-14, but sees the English top flight as a massive challenge.
When asked if it is the hardest League of all to win in Europe, he said: “In this moment for sure.
“In this league there is a great balance and in every game, anything can happen.
“You can win or lose if you don’t pay the right concentration, if you don’t stay focussed or prepare in the right way. Every game is important and very difficult.
“For this reason it is important to get consistency in results, in the performance and to trust in the work.”
Pressed on whether he believes Chelsea can finish top this term, he added: “Now there are five teams that are very very close, but we shouldn’t look at the table.
“We must be focussed on the work on the pitch, go game by game, step by step. It is too early to talk about the table, the title race. We need to improve step by step.”
