Antonio Conte plans to make it clear he is committed to Chelsea and not thinking about leaving for Inter Milan.
Conte was been named Manager of the Year at the 2017 London Football Awards on Thursday.
The Italian picks up the honour during his first season in England, seeing off competition from Premier League rival Mauricio Pochettino and lower-league candidates Slavisa Jokanovic of Fulham, Millwall’s Neil Harris and AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley.
Conte looks on course to picking up the Premier League title after guiding his Chelsea side to the top of the league standings, currently sitting 10 points clear of nearest rival Tottenham ahead of the weekend games.
There have been reports back in the Italian’s homeland that he is homesick and is considering a return to Serie A.
Inter Milan have new Chinese owners who are willing to offer him a contract in excess of £10million a year.
Conte, however, is fully focused on making his career at Chelsea a success and is not looking to leave.
The 46-year-old is prepared to quash the speculation at his weekly press conference tomorrow, while Chelsea are not concerned by the talk surrounding Inter’s interest.
Conte, who is shortlisted for Manager of the Year at the London Football Awards tonight, signed a three-year contract at Chelsea when he was appointed in April of last year.
The former Italy midfielder has impressed after leading a club that finished 10th last season to the top of the table. Chelsea want to reward him with an extension to his deal and an increase on his £6.5m-a-year salary.
Talks have begun, although it is unlikely any agreement will be announced before the end of the season. Significantly, Conte’s wife Elisabetta and his daughter are moving to London from Italy on a permanent basis in the summer.
Conte has also started briefing the club on signings he would like, with owner Roman Abramovich prepared to back him.
While Inter Milan are keen on Conte, they are also eyeing Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.
