Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Alexis Sanchez’s contract situation at Arsenal with a view to a summer bid for the Chile star, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror are reporting that the Blues are among the clubs monitoring the situation of Sanchez at The Emirates as the 28-year-old continues to stall on signing a new contract.
Sanchez’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2018 and the Chilean is yet to commit his future to the north London club.
Manager Arsene Wenger’s current contract is also set to end at the end of this season to further add to the uncertainty at The Emirates.
The same report states that Chelsea are ready to sell striker Michy Batshuayi just a year after signing the Belgian from Marseille, and that Sanchez is being lined up as a possible replacement.
The story also claims that Conte is ready to bring young Tammy Abraham, who has scored 18 goals on loan at Bristol City this season, into his squad next season.
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday night.
