Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has refused to confirm he’ll stay at the club next season after being asked about speculation regarding a move to Inter Milan.
The Italian’s side need three points against West Brom on Friday to be crowned Champions during his debut season in England.
Despite such a successful first season at Stamford Bridge, Conte has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan.
The Serie A giants have recently been bought by Chinese group Suning and they have targeted Conte as the man to transform them next season.
Conte was directly asked today if he could confirm he’ll be at the club next season but the Italian refused to deny the Inter link.
‘I have a contract with Chelsea for the next two years,’ said Conte.
‘It’s logical when you start working in a new club the will is to continue to improve your work.
‘For sure this is my will but now the most important thing is to reach our target. In this moment we have a great opportunity [that we] have worked very hard for over the whole season and it’s important to be ready to do this step and to celebrate together.
‘I have a contract for two years but i nthis moment – for me and the players – the most important this is to stay in the momeny. The most important thing is not the single person, me or the future of the players.
‘We must be focused on the next game to reach this fantastic moment. It’s normal to have a lot of speculation around my players and the coach but we can’t lost concentration. The moment is really important for us and I want to transfer this message.’
