Antonio Conte has revealed that Pedro suffered ‘multiple fractures’ to his face during a collision with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
The Chelsea midfielder was challenging for a long ball when he was clattered by the Colombian during Saturday’s pre-season friendly.
Pedro is, however, de to return to training — with the help of a protective mask — in 10 days time.
The Spaniard was taken to hospital after the game and he remained there overnight. He then posted on Instagram: “What a shock! But fortunately everything is ok. Thank you all for your messages.”
