Antonio Conte has lifted the lid on his half-time team talk after Chelsea eased to a 3-1 win against Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Cesc Fabregas broke the deadlock in the 19th minute thanks to a close-range finish to edge the west London side a step closer to three points in the title race.
However, former Juventus striker Fernando Llorente levelled the Premier League clash in the 44th minute with a powerful header.
Swansea had won three of their last four Premier League games before their trip to west London, including a 3-2 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.
But Conte’s side dug deep in the second half and Pedro Rodriguez scored a 72nd-minute goal to restore Chelsea’s slender lead.
Spain international Diego Costa sealed three points with his 16th goal in the Premier League in the 2016-17 season.
Speaking at his post-match media conference at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge, Conte said:
“I told them we are playing very well, we are dominating the game, we are creating chances, but it’s 1-1. We don’t deserve it but it’s the reality. So go to the second half and push because we need to win.
“They did this. We started the second half and Hazard did a great combination with Costa and Fabianski made a great save, then Fabregas hit the crossbar, then we scored the goal.
“After the first half it was a bit frustrating for us to be drawing. But in this situation, when the tension starts to increase, it’s important to see the right answer of my players. Today I saw a lot of right answers from my players.”
Chelsea are 11 points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
