Courtois edges keeper closer to Chelsea exit after row with goalkeeper coach

Thibaut Courtois has edged closer to the Chelsea exit with his relationship with goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon on the rocks.

Courtois appears to be unhappy working with the 53-year-old, who formed a close relationship with the Belgian’s predecessor, Petr Cech, prior to his move to Arsenal, as the Blues goalkeeper feels his methods do not suit him.

According to Daily Mail the pair have ‘not got on all season’ and it could see Courtois take up other options available this summer, with Real Madrid among those interested.

Courtois has made no secret about wanting to stay to work with Antonio Conte, the incoming Italian coach.

Even though Conte is bringing in his own backroom staff, it is understood that Lollichon will stay.

The coach has been with Chelsea since 2007 and he is viewed as indispensable by the West London club.

A move to Real or Atletico Madrid seems the likeliest option for Courtois, who has also attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea are believed to value Courtois at £50million, though they would struggle to get a club to pay full asking price.
