Cristiano Ronaldo is set to stay at Manchester United this summer, amid reports of a possible transfer.
The 37-year-old is said to have informed the Red Devils at the beginning of July of his intention to seek greener pastures this summer in order to continue playing Champions League football.
However, there have been few bidders for the Portugal international, with Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Inter Milan all said to have turned down the chance to sign him.
According to a recent report, Napoli and Sporting Lisbon are interested in signing the attacker late in the transfer window, with his agent Jorge Mendes still trying to find a way out before the deadline.
However, according to journalist Manu Sainz, only a “last-minute miracle” would see the Portuguese leave Old Trafford before the transfer window ends.
Ronaldo has appeared in all four Premier League games for Manchester United this season, but has only started once, with the forward coming off the bench against Liverpool and Southampton in the team’s last two games.
The former Sporting youngster only appeared for the final four minutes of the match against Liverpool on August 22, but he appeared for the final 22 minutes of the match against Southampton on August 27.

Will Ronaldo Stay In Manchester United?
According to The Sun, Ronaldo has been pleased by Manchester United’s recent signings of Casemiro and Antony, and he is now willing to stay in in Manchester.
According to the report, the striker is willing to ‘buy into Erik ten Hag’s revolution,’ with the club demonstrating their desire in the transfer market this summer.
Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, and Casemiro have all joined, and a deal for Antony is close to being completed; the club is also poised to sign Martin Dubravka on an initial loan contract from Newcastle United.
Ronaldo has been reluctant to participate in the Europa League this year, but he may now take part in the team’s 2022–03 season opener on September 8 at Old Trafford against Real Sociedad.
However, Man United will play two more Premier League games before their European campaign gets underway. On Thursday, they will travel to Leicester City, and three days later, they will host Arsenal.
The Red Devils missed out on the Champions League last season despite Ronaldo’s 24 goals for the team, including 18 in the Premier League, as they finished the season in sixth place overall.
