Louis Saha has reportedly tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to comeback to Manchester United either as a coach or a manager as he has an unfinished business at the club.
The Portuguese star’s initial tenure at Old Trafford ensured that his name will always be associated with the team. After a contentious interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo’s second spell didn’t exactly go as planned, and he eventually left by mutual consent.
The superstar hasn’t publicly stated his opinion on a potential management career, either, despite his notorious “coaching” on the sidelines after his country’s victory in the Euro 2016 final. Saha still thinks he’d be fantastic in the dugout, maybe at Old Trafford, despite this.
What Did Saha Say About Ronaldo’s Man United Comeback?
“Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and dedication to return to Manchester United one day,” Saha told TVSporten as reported by The Mirror. “That could be as a coach or even a manager.
“His second spell didn’t end how everyone had hoped, and you can see why that frustrated him. He didn’t see the same formula and didn’t see the passion from young players that he had been used to seeing.”
To put it mildly, Ronaldo’s second stint at United wasn’t smooth. Before being let go in November 2022, he played under three different managers and voiced his disapproval of the club and its leadership.
His disdain of Ten Hag and the club’s younger players proved to be the final nail in the coffin. And the icon’s interview with Piers Morgan effectively ended his second spell at the club.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo managed to score 27 goals in 54 games during that time and will always be valued by United supporters in general.
Since then, he has been content with his stay in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, where he finished his first full season with 35 goals.
