Similar to Al-Nassr’s recruitment approach of focusing on Premier League-established talent, the Ecuadorian international is considered a possible marquee signing.
In his second season at Stamford Bridge, Caicedo is reportedly on Al-Nassr’s shortlist as they scout possible additions when the transfer window opens.
Under new manager Enzo Maresca, the 23-year-old, who broke records by joining Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in a record-breaking transaction costing over £100 million, is still one of the team’s most reliable players.
Caicedo’s indispensable status to the present team is demonstrated by the fact that he is currently the only Chelsea player to start every Premier League game this season.
Al-Nassr’s pursuit shows that they are still looking to add young, elite European players to their midfield.
The Saudi team, which already has players like Jhon Durán, Aymeric Laporte, and Cristiano Ronaldo, is said to view Moises Caicedo as “a dream target” and is willing to pay a premium, probably in the region of £100 million.
