Crystal Palace are considering a surprise move for Robin van Persie, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror claims that Palace’s new manager, Frank De Boer, is weighing up a deal for the 33-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his current contract with Fenerbahce.
The report also claims that Van Persie is interested in a return to the Premier League after leaving two years ago.
Palace are looking to bolster their attacking options this summer and Van Persie could be brought in to help lead the line alongside Christian Benteke.
Van Persie was sold by Manchester United for just £3.8 million in 2015 but wants to leave Fenerbahce after growing frustrated with his rotational role.
The Dutchman started only 10 games in the Turkish Super Lig last season but managed a return of nine goals.
The former Arsenal striker was also targeted by Stoke City, West Ham and Middlesbrough last summer.
Fenerbahce are claimed to be already looking for a replacement and are targeting Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.
