Crystal Palace v Leicester team news

Crystal Palace are likely to be without winger Andros Townsend against in-form Leicester on Sunday. Townsend suffered a muscle strain in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last Sunday as the Eagles battled back from a two-goal deficit.
He has been in and out of the team this season but, according to boss Roy Hodgson, is unlikely to play against the Foxes even though they are ready to assess him again on Saturday. “I think we may have lost Andros Townsend, which is a blow. He felt a muscle strain against Arsenal and hasn’t trained before today [Friday],” Hodgson told reporters. “He was desperate to see how it went but didn’t complete the session. We’ll see tomorrow, of course, but I’ll be surprised [if he is available].”
In more positive news, Hodgson, who revealed he is in talks over a new contract at Selhurst Park, looks like he will have goalkeeper Vicente Guaita available for Sunday’s game.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been absent for their last two games with a minor groin problem. However, he might not walk straight back into the starting line-up, with Wayne Hennessey impressing in two appearances.
Leicester arrive in south London in fine fettle following their 9-0 win over Southampton last Friday.
The Foxes are unlikely to break any similar records but Brendan Rodgers’ side look very much like top-four contenders.
One reason they have been so good this season is down to their lack of injuries
Their 3-1 midweek Carabao Cup win at Burton gave the Northern Irishman a chance to use some of his squad players but he is likely to revert to the same side that trounced the Saints.
Only Matty James, who continues to battle a long-term Achilles injury, misses out.
Leicester will need to turn around recent history in the fixture, however, as Palace have won their last four meetings by an aggregate score of 13-1.
