Daley Blind has insisted that he wants to remain at Manchester United despite not yet holding talks over a new deal at the club.
Blind’s current deal with United is due to expire next summer but, while the Red Devils hold the option of extending the contract by a further year, the 27-year-old is yet to hear anything from the club.
The versatile defender has indicated that he is not yet worried about his future but is adamant that he would like to stay a Manchester United player.
Blind told the Mirror: “I don’t really know anything yet about my future. I haven’t really thought about it either.
“But which player wouldn’t want to stay at Manchester United? That’s the only thing I can say about it.”
Blind was a regular for the Old Trafford outfit last season under Louis van Gaal, making 35 league appearances which were all starts, but has only played 23 league outings under Jose Mourinho this campaign.
The Dutchman has proven himself to be a useful option across the back-line and in midfield since moving to United from Ajax in 2014.
Blind is one of seven United players to attempt over 1,000 passes in the Premier League this campaign but only Zlatan Ibrahimovic achieved the feat in fewer minutes played than the 27-year-old.
