Copa America Group C encounter on Sunday in Florida, Uruguay defeated Panama 3-1 thanks to goals from Maximilian Araujo, Darwin Nunez, and Matias Vina.
The majority of the second half saw Uruguay leading 1-0, but Nunez, who had previously wasted several opportunities, calmed them down with a composed volley in the 85th minute.

After their victory, Uruguay and the US now have three points apiece. In the other Group C match of the day, the U.S. defeated Bolivia 2-0.
In the 16th minute, Araujo scored a magnificent curling goal from the edge of the area to reward Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay, who have won the Copa America a record 15 times together.
After the interval, Panama tightened up on the match and missed multiple opportunities to re-enter it.
After a defensive blunder by Mathias Olivera, Jose Fajardo smacked an attempt wide in the 52nd minute, then Jose Rodriguez put Uruguay goalkeeper Sergio Rochet to the test with a fierce long-range drive.
Coach Thomas Christiansen of Panama answered reporters‘ questions by saying, “I told them they have to be fearless.”
“that they need to have more self-assurance. that what they accomplished in the second half is achievable. And like Uruguay, we created opportunities after the goal.”
