David Beckham and Netflix have announced a collaboration to launch a documentary about the player’s historic career.
The former Man Utd star’s unnamed docuseries is presently under production, directed by Oscar winner Fisher Stevens (The Cove) and produced by Emmy winner John Battsek (Searching for Sugar Man).

The documentary will center on David Beckham’s life and career as he rose through the ranks of Manchester United’s youth team to become the world’s most famous football player.
He was born and raised in east London, and at an early age, he relocated to Manchester. In the Class of 92, he made his debut as one of “Fergie’s Fledglings.”
