De Bruyne Places Doubt On His Man City Future

Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly casts doubt on his future at the club as he is said to be open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

With one year remaining on his Etihad contract, De Bruyne has drawn a lot of interest from the Saudi Pro League, as they desire to build on their success and attract the world’s top players to their league.

The Belgian did, however, demonstrate that he is still unmatched in England last season, as he recorded more assists than any Premier League player in spite of missing five months due to injury.

The City talisman had earlier said that he would see out his contract in Manchester, which would mean he would spend 10 years at the club.

However, with one year remaining, the 32-year-old acknowledged that his kids have begun to ask him how long he will be at the Etihad.

What Did De Bruyne Say About His Man City Future?

“I still have one year left on my contract, so I have to think about what could happen,” he told HLN as reported by Manchester Evening News.

“At my age you have to be open to everything,” he said. “You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.

“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet,” De Bruyne added.
