Declan Rice Agree To Stay One More Season At West Ham Amid Interest From Chelsea And Man Utd

Declan Rice has agreed to stay one more season at West Ham amid interest from Chelsea nd Manchester United.

According to Alex Crook of TalkSport, the England international has a “gentleman’s agreement” with West Ham.

Rice is said to have chosen to stay at West Ham for another year before leaving next summer.

Rice, on the other hand, will not be leaving the Hammers on the cheap. The present contract of the 23-year-old with the East London team terminated in 2025.

Many clubs in the Premier League are thrilled with Rice, who played for Chelsea as a young player.

Manchester United’s midfield requires substantial work in the coming transfer windows, and the club has long been a fan of Rice.

Chelsea’s current favorite midfield duo of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante is aging, and a player of Declan Rice’s level would go some way toward replacing any of those two.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has postponed their search for a new midfielder until next summer after spending lavishly this transfer window on the likes of Darwin Nuez, Calvin Ramsay, and Fabio Carvalho.

The Reds are now the favorites to sign Jude Bellingham next summer, but Rice is said to be a possible alternative.

With Jordan Henderson turning 33 next summer, Rice is most likely seen as the greatest replacement.

Rice has had a lot of outstanding seasons at West Ham, so the competition to sign him will be high.

Liverpool may be tempted to pursue both Bellingham and Rice in the future, even if they do end up signing Bellingham. Jordan Henderson isn’t the only aging engine room player at Anfield.

Declan Rice will have teams waiting up to sign him, and while doing so would be expensive for any potential bidder, Liverpool wouldn’t want to lose out on a player of Rice’s skill.

It appears that Jürgen Klopp’s midfield restructuring will cost Liverpool some money.
