Barcelona sporting director, Deco has reportedly filed a lawsuit against former presidential candidate Victor Font over his comments on Vitor Roque’s transfer.
This comes after Font implied that Deco’s role in the move might have been dubious in comments on the signing of Brazilian star Roque.
The former Portugal international wants to preserve his reputation, which is why he decided to sue. Font’s remarks during an interview caused the situation to worsen.
Font claimed that although though Roque’s official agent was Andre Cury, and that Deco had helped arrange the player’s move to Barcelona in his prior position as a player agent.

Font’s hints suggested that Deco might have benefited from the agreement, which has apparently greatly irritated the Portuguese sporting director.
According to Barca Universal, Deco has chosen to take legal action in retaliation, alleging that Font made false allegations.
Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff were the first to manage Roque’s transfer, and they spoke with Cury.
Barcelona completed the signing of the 19-year-old attacker after the former midfielder took over as sporting director. Roque is regarded as a bright young player with a lot of promise.
Barcelona paid an upfront price of €30 million to acquire Roque’s services under a contract that would last until 2031. Performance-based factors still determine an extra €31 million.
However, considering the fierce rivalry in Barcelona’s attacking frontline, Roque’s long-term chances with the club are questionable.
Roque’s chances are further complicated by the possible prolonged presence of dynamic forwards like Ferran Torres and veteran striker Robert Lewandowski.
