Diangana hoping to emulate Rice

Grady Diangana is determined to keep his head down, work hard and try to become as good as Declan Rice. Diangana, 21, made 21 appearances in all competitions in 2018-2019 but was loaned out to Championship side West Bromwich Albion this season in order to see more action.
The England Under-20 ace has certainly been busy in the West Midlands, with four goals from 15 outings helping the Baggies to top spot in the second-tier standings.
Rumours persist that Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini will recall him to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, with the East End club currently on a poor run of form and seemingly in freefall, having dropped like a  stone to 16th in the standings.
Whether or not that happens only time will tell but the DR Congo-born ace is certainly enhancing his reputation at The Hawthorns and seems a keen student of the game.
Diangana featured alongside Rice for West Ham last term and seems to have the world at his feet. However, he is aware that keeping a level head will be key to emulating the England schemer. “I’ve always been someone who’s grounded and I don’t let things get to my head,” he told the Express and Star. “Playing with Declan and seeing where he’s got to and how he’s got there and the things he’s had to do to get there has helped me develop as a player. Hopefully I can be just as good as him.”
Pellegrini’s side have not won in six top-flight games, losing four of their last five top-flight matches and things will not get any easier after the international break.
Tottenham make the short trip across the capital on Saturday, November 23 before the Chilean takes his men to west London for a showdown with an in-form Chelsea outfit seven days later.
