Diangana return could be on the cards

Sources close to West Ham are suggesting there may be a recall clause in Grady Diangana’s loan at West Brom. The winger headed to The Hawthorns over the summer to help get a run of games under his belt, having been on the fringes of the Hammers’ first team last term.
Manuel Pellegrini seemed to take a shine to Diangana early in his reign, but, as the 2018-19 season went on, Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio found more favour in the wide areas.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Baggies, netting four goals in his 13 games to propel their promotion push under former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.
Bilic will be desperate to see him last the season in the Championship but the Claret and Hugh website are reporting that his parent club do have the right to bring him back in the winter window.
The outlet, often a reliable source for Hammers’ information, say they received an email from the club and “the option is there for the manager” to recall the starlet between January 1 and 14.
Josh Cullen, currently on loan at second-tier Charlton, is also thought to have similar terms in his deal but the current lack of creativity coming from the West Ham wide players mean Diangana is a more likely candidate.
Anderson was withdrawn at half-time in the recent 2-0 defeat at Everton and lasted just 66 minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw to Sheffield United.
That result extended the club’s run of games without a win to five in all competitions and Pellegrini has further food for thought with neither Manuel Lanzini nor summer signing Pablo Fornals pulling up trees.
Diangana made 21 appearances for the first team last season after scoring twice on his senior debut, an 8-0 EFL Cup win over Macclesfield last September.
