Real Madrid attacker, Brahim Diaz hailed Jude Bellingham calling him ‘world-class’ after scoring an incredible goal in Los Blancos’ 1-0 win against RB Leipzig in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16. The midfielder imitated the injured 20-year-old famous arms-outstretched goal celebration.
With a brilliant individual effort in the 48th minute, Diaz gave Madrid the lead. He ran at the Leipzig defense and shot past goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi, prompting Bellingham to write on social media, “Oh my god Brahim!”
The Spanish winger honored Bellingham, who is anticipated to miss three weeks of action due to a sprained ankle he suffered during Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Girona on Saturday, both during his goal celebration and in his post-match interview with the media.
“I love [Bellingham],” Díaz told Movistar as echoed by ESPN.
“From the first moment, we’ve got on really well. I’m helping him with his Spanish. He’s a world-class player, I enjoy playing with him. Apart from the charisma he has, he’s a great person.
“Despite the absences of Jude, who we missed, and of [Antonio] Rudiger, and all those [players] who are out injured for a long time, we keep showing that we’re a great team, that we’re Real Madrid.”

After joining from AC Milan, Díaz struggled to establish himself in the Madrid squad at first. But he has grown in importance and now has eight goals across all competitions.
La Liga leaders Madrid will now play Valencia, Rayo Vallecano, and Sevilla in the league before they host the second leg against Leipzig on March 6 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
