Diego Costa reveals unhappiness with London life despite Chelsea’s table-topping season

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has insisted that he is happy at the club but revealed that he isn’t satisfied with living in
London.

Despite now going four games without a goal in the Premier League, Costa has been impressive overall this campaign and has scored 18 goals across all competitions.

The Blues boast a seven-point lead at the top of the table and Costa insisted that it is a simple decision to stay at a club that is successful.

As reported by the Evening Standard, Costa said: “I have another two years on my contract. I am always very honest with those close to me. I tell them that I am very happy at Chelsea.

“The club gives me a lot, the fans, the team-mates. I am in a team that is winning and that motivates me even more. Last season was not the best, not just for me but for other players and for Chelsea.

“This year I hope will be different, that we win titles. If you are in a team that is winning, you always want to stay for the allotted amount of time.

“I am happy at Chelsea, I am not necessarily saying that I am happy with my life in London, but that is something completely different. It has nothing to do with it.”

Costa played a fundamental part in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign in 2014/15 and will be determined to secure another league winners’ medal this year.

The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to the Chinese Super League in the January transfer window but ended up staying at Chelsea and certainly looks to have made the right choice.

Costa will be determined to end his mini drought in front of goal when Chelsea face Manchester United away next weekend.
