Lucas Digne has praised Marco Silva’s methods and believes the Everton boss can develop into one of the world’s best coaches. Silva has been under scrutiny at Goodison Park this season after a disappointing start to the campaign saw the Toffees in the relegation zone going into last weekend’s Premier League games.
The Blues spent big in the summer in an attempt to push for at least a top-six finish but things have not exactly gone to plan in the opening three months of the season. Silva’s side have won just three league games so far and there was speculation the former Hull City and Watford chief would be out of a job should the poor form continue.

However, Saturday’s much-needed win over West Ham has eased the pressure on the Portuguese coach and Digne has no doubt at all over his ability to get Everton moving in the right direction.
The left-back has been quick to praise Silva in the past and has now told the Liverpool Echo he believes he is one of the best coaches he has ever worked with.
Digne said: “He reads the game really well. Some coaches can give advice during the game that you feel is not the solution but, Marco, when he gives you advice you think: ‘Ah, yeah, this is true’. When we prepare for a game, he chooses the tactics and then he gives you the advice. When you play in the game you can see it’s the solution. “He gave a lot of confidence to the players and very good advice. For me he is one of the best coaches I’ve had and I am sure he can be one of the best in the world.”
Digne, who has been at Goodison since summer 2018, has been an ever-present in the league this season and has now amassed 48 appearances in all competitions, managing five goals and eight assists.
