The mood was sombre at Milanello after Milan’s Coppa Italia loss to Torino but the return of Divock Origi brought a little positivity back.
MilanNews report that after yesterday’s defeat against Torino at the San Siro and elimination from the Coppa Italia, the Milan squad slept at Milanello and trained on the pitches of the training complex this morning.
There was then a mandatory lunch and then the team are able to go home.
Meanwhile, Origi’s debut season with the Rossoneri has been blighted by injuries, limiting him to just four Serie A starts this campaign.
Origi suffered a hamstring injury during the World Cup break, forcing him to miss the club’s first three games of 2023, but now he can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Origi took part in squad training today at Milanello, finally working with his teammates and coach Stefano Pioli again after his latest stint on the sidelines.

Joining him back in squad training was defender Simon Kjaer, who has been out with his own injury for the last few weeks.
The return of Origi is importance for Pioli, who has been forced to heavily rely on veteran Olivier Giroud up front this season.
