Edwards Insists Man United Star Should Have Been Sent Off Against Luton

Luton Town manager, Rob Edwards was adamant Manchester United midfielder Casemiro should have been sent off at Kenilworth Road on Sunday.

In the Premier League match, United prevailed 2-1. But manager Erik ten Hag pulled Casemiro at halftime because he could have been sent off.

The midfielder was lucky not to receive a second yellow card after catching Ross Barkley, as he had previously been booked for a challenge on Amari’i Bell.

According to Edwards, Casemiro ought to have been given a red card stating his substitution as an indication.

Edwards told Sky Sports as echoed by Daily Mail: “The fact that he came off at half time might be a little bit of a telltale sign to how I feel about that one. I’m not going to complain about it right now.”

Before the second half commenced, Scott McTominay took Casemiro’s place, and United were able to hold on for the victory.

Rasmus Hojlund’s brace gave United a two-goal lead after just seven minutes of play.

Although Luton’s Carlton Morris scored a goal back, United ended up with all three points.

As a result, the Hatters are now one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League, in 17th place.
The Red Devils are billed to host Fulham in their next league match next Saturday. Luton Town on the other hand will travel to Anfield for a clash against league leaders, Liverpool on Wednesday.
