Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen has revealed that Napoli may determine Victor Osimhen’s participation at the forthcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Eguavoen made this known in an interview with Brila FM, where he said that he would be willing to include the former Lille forward if he’s fit enough for the tournament.
“Firstly we hope he is healthy, recovers fully and ensure the club allows him join the squad.”
“However, if this doesn’t work out, I’m sure he’d want the team to goon and do well, but we also have other players Awoniyi, Dennis and others who can deliver.”
Recall that the Napoli striker was expected to be out of action for three months after he suffered multiple facial fractures from a nasty clash of heads with Inter Milan’s Skriniar in their Serie A encounter on November 21.
However, he made a quick return to training few days after surgery and could be ready to play at the bi-annual competition.
