According to BBC Sports, Emily Ramsey, the goalkeeper for Everton, will be “out for more than a month” due to an ankle injury, according to manager Brian Sorensen.
The injury was sustained by Ramsey during Wednesday’s 2-1 League Cup loss to Liverpool.
The 23-year-old joins midfielder Lucy Hope and defender Elise Stenevik on Everton’s injury list of players out.
Sorensen stated, “She [Ramsey] is out for a significant period of time.”
Prior to Everton’s Women’s Super League encounter with Manchester City on Sunday, he stated: “It’s difficult to determine at this early stage, but it’s undoubtedly more than a two-week injury.”
“It’s her ankle and it’s ligaments that are not good. I can’t say if it’s eight or 10 weeks, but she is out for more than a month early doors.
“I don’t think surgery is needed but it’s still one that will take some weeks to recover from.”
