England Second Best Defender Set To Miss Another Euro 2024 Match

Luke Shaw appears will miss  second European Championship encounter for England since he did not participate in team practice on Wednesday morning.

England will play Denmark tomorrow in the hopes of securing their spot in the Euro 2024 knockout rounds, reports Manchester World

They will likely have to do it without Shaw once more, though, as the left-back is not expected to play in the encounter in Frankfurt.

With 25 players participating in the pre-match training session for England, the Manchester United left-back was the only one absent, as he ‘completed an individualized programme elsewhere’.

Kieran Trippier is predicted to start on the left side of defense.

If England had already qualified for the tournament’s knockout stages, their last group encounter against Slovenia next week might essentially be a dead-rubber match.

Therefore, England will be hoping Shaw is well enough to play. Shaw recently acknowledged he wasn’t entirely fit and shouldn’t have participated in the encounter.

Shaw hasn’t appeared since being pulled off against Luton Town in February due to a muscle injury. The Left-back may play against Serbia this weekend, according to Southgate.

According to club manager Erik ten Hag, he won’t be ready until beyond the group stages.
