Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s head coach, has acknowledged that the club is satisfied with Estevao Willian’s improvement.
The teenager will join Stamford Bridge from Palmeiras next summer for an initial fee of £29 million, which may climb to £51 million if different add-ons are completed.
If all of the add-ons are met, Willian will become the most expensive Brazilian teenager in history.
Willian, nicknamed ‘Little Messi’ in his home Brazil, is one of South American football’s most highly rated players.

Brazilian legend Neymar believes the 17-year-old will go far, describing him as a “genius” ahead of his Premier League move next summer. Reported By Standard News.
Throughout their tenure, Blues executives have regularly pursued emerging South American talent. Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Angelo, and Kendry Paez have all been recruited, and Endrick was a target prior to his move to Real Madrid.
Willian has scored four goals and two assists in his previous four games, bringing his season total to 15 goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances.
Willian is seen as a potential generational talent, yet he will definitely have competition for a starting spot at Chelsea next season.
When asked about the player after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth, Maresca replied: “Yes, we are following him. He is doing wonderfully – but not with us.
“We are going to wait until next summer when he will arrive here but, for sure, we are very happy in the way he is doing these things.”
