Erik Ten Hag expresses excitement for Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Man Utd, but he does not know when the striker will do so. Cristiano Ronaldo has been held out of the team for personal reasons thus far, and speculation over his future has persisted since it was confirmed he considered leaving.
Erik Ten Hag, though, has insisted that the 37-year-old will remain at Old Trafford next season and is interested to see how he blends with the team’s new playing strategy.

What Does Erik Ten Hag View About Cristiano Ronaldo?
When asked if he was worried about the Portugal star’s absence and if he knew when he would be joining the club again, Ten Hag responded, “No, it’s the same as last week. Of course [United would like Ronaldo back], concerning is maybe not the right word.
“I focus on the players who are there and they are doing really well. They are in good shape and I have further focus on that and develop that.
“I cannot wait for him to come in and then we will integrate him.”
The likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes have linked up well so far in pre-season and Ronaldo would add further firepower to that attack.
“They connect really good together,” Ten Hag said.
“When you see that you are lucky as a manager, we have a threat, we have weapons and we have to improve that every day, to develop that.”

Since declaring his intention to leave the team before the 2022–23 season, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future has been in question.
Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain have all been connected with him, but there has been no action for the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus star.
However, Ten Hag has reiterated that Cristiano Ronaldo is “not for sale” and even made the unlikely hint that he would stay at United past the current season.
He said: “Yes [he could stay beyond this season], but, to be honest, of course I have signed here for three years, but in football it’s short-term as well.”
