According to rumors, Manchester United have spoken to Adrien Rabiot’s mother – and the player’s agent – about a possible summer move to Old Trafford.
The Frenchman was due to join United last summer, but the deal fell through, and Rabiot remained at Juventus, where he played 48 times in all competitions and scored 11 goals last season. The ex-Paris Saint-Germain player also appeared in six of France’s seven World Cup matches, as Les Bleus finished runners-up to Argentina in Qatar.
However, it appears that United have returned for Rabiot this summer, as his contract with Juventus ends at the end of June. Erik ten Hag is a ‘huge fan’ of Rabiot, according to Fabrizio Romano’s Give Me Sport column, and would be interested in bringing him to Manchester United.
Newcastle United, a Premier League opponent, has also expressed interest in the 28-year-old. According to the Italian tabloid Gazzetta dello Sport, the Magpies have made an offer of roughly €5 million (£4.3 million) each year, which is much less than the €7 million (£6 million) given by Juventus.

Meanwhile, United are seeking to sign two additional midfielders this summer, with Mason Mount poised to join as United and Chelsea negotiate a fee for the England international. United is also willing to let Scott McTominay, Fred, and Donny van de Beek leave this summer.
Erik ten Hag After overspending last summer, the club must be careful of Financial Fair Play, while the uncertainty surrounding the ownership position limits United’s ability to make definite transfer plans.
As well as adding two midfielders, Ten Hag has prioritised a striker this summer and also wants to add a centre-back
