Despite receiving a red card during the club‘s preseason loss to Wrexham, Dan Gore will remain at Manchester United this summer.
The 18-year-old Gore was kicked out of the San Diego friendly, which the Welsh underdogs won 3-1.
After the game, Erik ten Hag expressed his “disappointment” in his team and criticized their “erratic” performance. On that particular day, Gore served as United’s captain.
Even though Gore didn’t perform well against Wrexham, Ten Hag has been impressed enough to include him in his plans.
The offensive midfielder is anticipated to stay at Old Trafford until the summer transfer market closes on September 1.
Although Gore has played four times in the EFL Trophy and assisted Manchester United in winning the FA Youth Cup in May 2022, he is yet to make his competitive first-team debut for Ten Hag’s team. Last month, the Red Devils handed him a new long-term contract.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Gore will not be completing a transfer in the coming days.
The emerging talent is rated highly by United’s youth staff and Ten Hag might require his services with Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo nursing injuries.
United’s U21 boss Travis Binnion was asked about Gore’s future after United’s EFL Trophy clash at League Two promotion candidates Stockport on Tuesday night. Gore started the game, which the Red Devils won 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
“You’d have to ask the manager that, I’m not too sure,” said Binnion. “He’s with them (first-team) every day, he’s doing really well up there and I think you can from pre-season and from the performance the other night, he’s improving by being with them.
