Erik ten Hag Told Man Utd Just What To Say As Sir Jim Ratcliffe Is Torn Apart

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been urged to demand clarification about his future at Old Trafford.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has yet to express a choice on the direction his team will go after Ten Hag led United to FA Cup victory while placing seventh in the Premier League. And Gordon Strachan has stated it is “staggering” that the incumbent is still in limbo. Reported By Skysports.

The former Scotland and Celtic manager, who won the FA Cup with United in 1985, believes his old club has had enough of time to make a decision on the manager issue. Mauricio Pochettino and England manager Gareth Southgate have both been linked with the position in recent months, although Ten Hag has been in charge since the summer transfer market opened.

“I find it astounding that his future hasn’t been resolved yet,” Strachan told Prime Casino. “The FA Cup final happened two weeks ago. Are Manchester United waiting for Dan Ashworth to arrive and start making decisions? Surely that is not the case, and surely he is holding discussions with the club without being officially appointed to the job of Director of Football anyway.

“If the people controlling the club truly believe Erik ten Hag isn’t good enough, they should inform him right away because what’s going on right now is unfair. I also believe Erik ten Hag ought to say, “If you don’t want me here, if you don’t think I’m good enough, then fire me.”

Ten Hag, 54, appeared destined to leave Old Trafford until defeating Manchester City and winning United’s first FA Cup in eight years.
