Christian Eriksen says he won’t tolerate a season on the bench at Inter Milan.
Now with Denmark for international week, the midfielder admits he’s been frustrated with his limited role since the start of the season.
Eriksen told Tipsbladet: “I will not sit on the bench all autumn, at least it is not my intention and I hope it is not also of those in the club or the manager. There will be a large number of matches in a short time, now there are also three National matches together … The Champions League will resume shortly, there’s a lot to play, I’m sure I’ll probably have my minutes and I expect them.
“I am in a situation where perhaps I had never been in, in a club team before. I got off to a great start after joining Inter in January and tried to show off. Then came the pandemic and what happened. After that I was often on the bench. Obviously you become less patient when you have experience and have tried different things. Whether you are 20, 28 or 30, however, you do not want to sit on the bench.”
