Erling Haaland and his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen have announced that they are expecting their first child after becoming Norway’s all-time goalscorer on Thursday. The Manchester City striker made the joyful announcement on a record-breaking night in the UEFA Nations League.
Norway defeated Slovenia 3-0 in Oslo to take control of League B, Group 3, ahead of Austria, their most recent opponents, and Kazakhstan at the halfway point.
Haaland, captaining his country in Martin Odegaard’s absence due to injury, equaled Jorgen Juve’s record with his first goal before going on to score two more.

The 24-year-old broke the deadlock seven minutes in, as Slovenia goalkeeper Jan Oblak could only parry a long-range drive into his path.
Unmarked in the box, Haaland smashed a right-footed first-time shot through Oblak’s knees, much to the joy of the Ullevaal Stadion fans.
Alexander Sorloth doubled the hosts’ lead shortly after halftime before setting up Haaland’s second goal just after the hour mark, reaching the bottom left corner with his stronger foot.
That was his 34th goal for Norway in 36 appearances, an astounding rate that has enabled him exceed Juve’s record of 35, which he last achieved in 1934.
Juve represented his country 45 times between 1927 and 1938, and his goal record was the longest among the 211 FIFA-affiliated nations.
Haaland has already shattered a number of records this season, including the record for most goals scored in the first three games of a Premier League season with seven.
Haaland confirmed on social media that he was expecting his first child with Haugseng Johansen after moving to Norway full-time.
The City No. 9 shared a photo of himself sucking his thumb while holding the ball beneath his shirt. He included the emojis for baby and soon in the message.
