Everton Submit A Formal Bid For Man United Flop

Everton has launched an attempt to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, although Fenerbahce is a rival. Negotiations are now in progress.

Although he had a rather disappointing time at Old Trafford following a protracted transfer drama last summer, the 28-year-old spent the previous season on loan with Manchester United.

The Morocco international started only ten of them, out of his 21 Premier League appearances.

Though Erik ten Hag’s team stunned Manchester City at Wembley in the FA Cup final, he played the entire 90 minutes, thus he undoubtedly ended his tenure with the Red Devils on a positive note.

Despite starting their first two Serie A games of the season, the midfielder has returned to Fiorentina, and it appears that another departure is imminent.

Everton has reportedly made an attempt for Amrabat, according to Fabrizio Romano, although Fenerbahce’s move seems more serious.

The Turkish team has made an offer of €2 million (£1.69 million) for a loan fee and €12 million (£10.1 million) for a buyout clause. However, Fiorentina is not pleased with those figures and talks are still ongoing.

After an awful start to the Premier League season, Everton is hoping to recruit players at the last minute before Friday’s transfer deadline, reports Metro

The Toffees are currently bottom of the early-season table after losing 4-0 at Tottenham and after losing 3-0 at Brighton on the opening weekend.

Romano adds that Everton is reportedly interested in Oriol Mangala, a midfielder for Lyon who was previously with Nottingham Forest.
